آغاز برنامه: شنبه 20 مارچ 2010 ساعت 7 بعد از ظهر
از ساعت 9:30 بعد از ظهر مراسم رقص آغاز می شود
پایان برنامه: یک شنبه 21 مارچ 2010 ساعت 1 بامداد

 قیمت بلیط برای کل برنامه شامل شام،پذیرایی و رقص: 17 دلار برای دانشجویان مک گیل،25 دلار برای همراهان
قیمت بلیط برای دوستانی که از ساعت 9:30 به بعد در رقص و پذیرایی همراه ما می شوند: 5 دلار

دوستانی که مایلند بلیط کل برنامه را تهیه کنند، لطفا تا قبل از ساعت 12 ظهر روز جمعه، 19 مارچ اقدام نمایند. بلیط های 5 دلاری را اما می توانید در صورت موجود بودن، همان روز 20 مارچ در محل رستوران هم خریداری کنید

Let’s get together and celebrate the greatest traditional Iranian  event, Norooz.

MISA do love to invite you to participate in this celebration on Saturday, March 20. It has two parts:
1) dinner with the 17$ ticket price for McGill students starting at 7 pm*
2) celebration and dance with the 5$ ticket price from 9:30 pm to 1 am
You could provide the ticket for dinner or only for dance part! Tickets are available at the following places:

MISA is getting ready to take you to a ski trip to the owl’s head ski resort on Sun. 31 Jan 2010!, and you are more than welcome to participate.

On the ski resort

Owl’s Head ski resort is located at south-east of Montreal,  and it will take about 1h20 to get there from Montreal downtown. for more information about the site, visit: www.owlshead.com

Schedule

Bus will be ready on Sunday, Jan 31th, at 6.30 am., in front of McGill Roddick gate (Sherbrooke St entrance) and It is strongly recommended to be there on time, as loading and checking in will take time. The bus will  LEAVE McGill at 7:00 am.

Tickets

35$ for McGill students (be advised to bring you ID on the day of trip)

45$ for gusts and accompanying persons

Tickets will be available in MacDonald Engineering Building, Room 391 by Ali Ghaffari (ghaffarie081@yahoo.com) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00 pm. to 4:00 pm.

The price includes Transportation, Lift Ticket and Ski Rental.

Some general suggestions

- We would suggest you to bring your own food, as the prices are quite expensive at the ski resort. You may pick your food packages from the bus, at appropriate time, as the bus will be available there.

- Remember to bring warm cloths, and waterproof sportswear (ski!). Don’t forget sunglasses and ski glows.

- Please have your McGill ID cards or any other valid IDs with your photo on.

MISA is going to hold a party for YALDA in Dec 21, 09. The event will be at Donini restaurant, 3425 St. Denis (few blocks from Sherbrook intersection). The program would be in 2 parts:

1- The first part is a cultural event. There will hopefully be live music, poem and speech accompanied with buffet dinner. This part starts at 7:30 and dinner will be served at 9:00.

2- The second part is a dance stage + special YALDA refreshments! It starts at 9:30 to 1:00 am.

Tickets

The ticket for part 1 and 2  is 10$ and it will be sold only on Dec 15, 16, and 17. As there is few place available, if you are interested, contact Mehdi (MacDonald Engineering Bld, Room 371), Soroor (Wong Engineering Bld, Room 7220), and Hesam (Wong Engineering Bld, Room 5300).

The ticket for the second part of the party will be 5$ and we encourage you to buy the ticket in advance as the place is not too spacious and few tickets are available.

Note- Drinks would be served in your request and it is not included in the tickets.

For the cultural part of our YALDA event, MISA is interested to have live music performance and cultural activities (like poetry, talk and performance), and we need your help, if you are able to make it. There are two ways you could help your friends at MISA

Live music performance: If you can play special musical instrument and interested to contribute (any style any musical instrument), MISA cordially invites you to contact Hesam (hesam.dadafarin@mail.mcgill.ca) to set for you performance.

Also, for the cultural section, if you have any specific idea or can make a contribution, we urge you to contact with Soroor (soroor.javanroshtkhari@mail.mcgill.ca) to set the plan. We are interested for a plan for YALDA night, speech and talk and poem section.

We are going to hold a Persian party for the our Iranian Grad members on Friday, Nov 20 at Thompson House, so come and make very happy moments with your friends. It will start at 9.00 pm and goes up to 1.00 am

For those who are interested to participate in the event, registration ticket is 5 $. Though, there might be some tickets available at the door for 10 $.

We hope that we can have this gathering on Saturday, August 15th. However, the rainy weather might force us to postpone this daytrip just one day later, on August 16th.
