MISA Elections
MISA annual election and general meeting

Dear MISA members:
This is our pleasure to inform you that MISA is holding its annual election and general meeting in May 2009, the specific date and time will be announced soon.
In order to balance responsibilities more evenly and also to increase the level of participation of our members in running MISA, there will be two newly created positions at MISA Executive Board. These positions are the “VP communication” and “Web Administrator”.
In order to nominate yourself, please submit a brief CV including the position you are interested in to run for. Also, indicate if you would like to have your CV published on MISA’s website, this will facilitate advertising for our nominees.
Below, please find a short description of each position
1- President:
Coordination of internal, external and financial issues, organizing events, programs, speeches. Ensuring the smooth functioning of the association and dealing with any issue arising outside the responsibility of the VP’s.
2- Internal VP:
Communication with internal associations of McGill and the SSMU, room bookings, taking minutes during the board meetings.
3- Finance VP:
Budget planning and managing association’s financial accounts, statements, and audits for the entire year.
4- External VP:
Dealing with associations outside McGill. Communication with other universities, managing and organizing events.
5- VP Communications:
The VP-C is responsible for all of MISA’s general communications.These include receiving and answering emails from the association’s official email address, creating and sending out official emails to our general membership.
6- Website Administrator:
The WA is responsible for the MISA website, including weekly updates,web-site redesign and general maintenance. The WA should have programming, design and maintenance experience and be able to commit
to updating the website and coordinating his/her activities with the executive committee at least once a week.
